Attorney Beverly V. Snelgrove grew up in Aiken, South Carolina, and received her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of South Carolina, graduating with honors. She received her law degree from The Charleston School of Law.
After passing the South Carolina Bar, Attorney Snelgrove returned to Aiken to work with her family’s law firm, Johnson, Johnson, Whittle, and Lacer, PA, focusing on Social Security disability, workers’ compensation, and personal injury cases. She returned to Charleston in 2013, working with the Department of Social Services, sharpening her litigation skills. Ms. Snelgrove returned to private practice in November 2016, focusing on separation and divorce, custody, child support, Department of Social Services defense, and contempt of court.
Attorney Snelgrove joined our firm in 2019 and quickly became an integral member of our legal team, known for her professionalism, compassion, and confidence in helping clients navigate complex family challenges. In 2021, she was honored as one of Charleston Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40. In 2025, she was named a practice Partner–a well-deserved recognition of her leadership and dedication to colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond the firm and courtroom, Attorney Snelgrove enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and loved ones.
Community Service
She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Charleston Bar, and the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee. She has previously volunteered with the Reading Partners Program (2015-2020) to help elementary school-aged children with their reading skills.
